For auction today, we have a 1999 Four Winns 268 Vista. Current bid is $850 British Pounds - roughly $1,440.37USD.

There's no reserve on the auction. That's right folks - no reserve.

I'm confused. Not quite sure what to do about this. The auction also says they'll ship worldwide.
Hmmmm. I paid a lot more for mine.

Something can't be right...seems fishy. He is also offering FREE shipping within the UK.

I can't believe there is nobody in the UK fighting over this thing

Sounds like a typical hijacked Ebay account scam.

Ebay has had it's fair share of these lately. Bogus "too good to be true" listings from overseas sellers using legitimate ebay id's that have been hijacked. They are doing this quite a bit with Harley Davidson motorcycles i.e listing $20000 motorcycles for $9500

They instruct the potential buyer to deposit 1/2 the money in a transunion account - supposedly that cant be touched until the item is received. Unfortunately, the money does get transferred and no item is ever sent.

about 6 months ago Ebay was in the news, out local papers and serveral pc mags for that reason.

If it seems to good to be true, it is. although there is someone dumb enough to go for it thinking they are getting the deal of a life time

There are not many lakes in the UK. Most of their boating is in the ocean, which is lousy for powerboaters.

I checked a map on the internet, and there is a lake, windmere I think it is called, not far from where the area listed on eBay.

Doggg - seems fishy because it is probably currently located at the bottom of some ocean.

All the other auctions from that account are little nicknacks. It will be interesting to see how high the bidding goes in the last hour.

Item has been pulled as the rightful ebay id found out that their ID was hijacked, probably got a phone call asking them about a boat they have never owned or even knew was for sale.

Here is another current scam auction - a $23000 Harley for $11000. Any takers? . . . .Best of luck. For fun, send an email to inquire. You will surely get an email back indicating the bike is overseas and to please immediately deposit money into a western union account.
