50 lbs (+/-) of extra outdrive weight is not going to matter much, even on a smaller boat. So, like D-rod said, it is a matter of power, not weight.

The yacht deal had to have been a huge cash drain. Combine this with the distractions of the yacht product, factor in runabouts designed over a year ago without the usual detailed oversight...model mishaps are bound to occur.

I got one for the Lewmar 2 years ago from our FW dealer, it wasn't anywhere new $70 though. It is the elastic one with the 3 snaps.

The Wilson's store in one of our local Malls recently closed. I don't know if that is a trend or just that particular Mall. One of the few pleasures I got out of being dragged to the Mall was to stop into the Wilson's store and smell the ambiance.
