I wasn't suggesting using a cleat, and agree that would be much worse. I'm saying I would be very careful about using any point on the boat to pull a fixed object that is hooked onto who-knows-what. There might be a good reason it was cut loose.

I can stay home any time I like. Trouble is I like that paycheck more. It will be nice when I have the option. Gotta tell you though. If you told me I can go to work or I have to watch TV, I'll take work. Watch too much of that stuff and I wil

TBI is basically a facny carb with injectors built in. I would fog it just as I would a carb'd motor. Keep at it until it dies (if you can) or you might have to kill it if it takes too long.

I'm not sure I like the layout. For those of us who carry on ice chests, where do they go? I do however like the exterior lines.

I always fill it to the top before storage and use stabil. The less air that's in there, the better.

I would say yes because that is what my teacher told me in boat school. He said the reason to top it off is that way there is less chance of condensation build up in the tank when the temp fluxuates but regardless of full or not always put in stabil

Dave, I've got the same set up and pray that I never lose the fuel pump!! There is a drain plug on the bottom that could be your culprit. Otherwise, can you get a mechanic's mirror anywhere near it?

I've noticed that in ads for some boats-especially in Florida- there is a disclaimer that the vessel is not for sale within the United States, or something to that effect. I'm curious what the ramifications are. Tax breaks? To the buyer or seller?

Whatever's in the tank is what stays over the winter. And for the last 2 years I've bought all my boat gas the end of February when it's been the cheapest. I think they oxygenate it, but I'm pretty sure there's no ethanol in it. Whatever it is, my bo

I do not top off the tank. The past 2 seasons, I have used one full tank (~40 gallons) of gas each year. I always have sta-bil on hand, and if I add gas, I add sta-bil, so whatever's in the tank is protected. I might reconsider this method if I

I asked my mechanic (both MC + Volvo authorized) that very question just last week. He said it does not matter if you are using non-ethanol gas + Stabil (which we do).
