Locust is right by the water. They have mooring poles along the shore. It is a nice place. But they is not much shade. Here is a picture of the area. The boat lunch is to the left. The beach to the right.

A better ramp, yes... they were on the shallow east ramp, the west ramp has about 10' more concrete. In retrospect, I should've suggested that to them. 8 miles away on the west side of the lake, the new Saratoga ramp is REAL steep. Not sure how LONG

When I was in the USAF and stationed in Anchorage I worked at a sporting good store. It was the weekend before opening of duck season and we were busy as hell behind the gun counter. Guys were lined up about 3 deep buying shells, licenses, etc.
