shingles will get brittle over time so they will not be as flexible if you need to bend them ie. for doing a valley. the shingles would probably be alright for flat surfaces.

FYI, didn't see the post, but the weather this past week was outstanding so he could have been out on his Monty enjoying the great seas. I met Seabuddy a few times and story telling? He was quiet as a mouse (that just got caught in a trap).
